Pinehurst, NC – March 27, 2025 – MacGyver Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that the General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the company a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the Flyer Defense Flyer 72 Heavy Duty Ground Mobility Vehicle (F72-HD). The award spans a period of five years (1+4-year), funded by the Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command (HQ USSOCOM) Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF ATL SW FOSOV).

As the authorized GSA reseller for Flyer Defense LLC, the manufacturer of the Flyer 72 family of vehicles, MacGyver Solutions is set to deliver rapid procurement for its customer. Following the award of the BPA, MacGyver Solutions received an immediate delivery order for vehicles, which are expected to be delivered within the next 30 days.

The GSA BPA provides a simplified acquisition process for military personnel seeking to procure the Flyer Defense vehicle. Key advantages include the potential for quantity discounts based on order volume and the flexibility of deferring fund obligations until actual orders are placed against the BPA. This setup enables agencies to accelerate their procurement timeline, allowing for delivery orders to be issued in just days, rather than the months or even years usually needed for full solicitations and contract award.

The Product

The Flyer® 72 – Heavy Duty (F72-HD) ground mobility vehicle on this order is a purpose-built, lightweight vehicle designed to meet complex mission sets. Selected by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as the vehicle of choice for their Ground Mobility 1.1 (GMV 1.1) Program of Record, at 72” wide, it is capable of internal transport in the CH-47 and CH-53 helicopters; and C-17 and C-130 aircraft.

The highly mobile platform has a payload capacity of 5,700 pounds, that can be configured to multiple crew sizes (up to nine). It can be guns up in less than one minute after exiting the aircraft and is capable of carrying a variety of armaments. Its adaptable communications suite provides increased operating range and provides the operator real-time access to critical information.

The Contract

GSA blanket purchase agreements (BPA) establish an agreement between a government buyer and a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contractor to fill repetitive needs for supplies or services.

MAS BPAs benefit buyers because they:

• Streamline ordering procedures for quicker turnarounds, including those with unique terms and conditions.
• Get opportunities for quantity discounts based on volume and don’t obligate funds until orders are placed against a MAS BPA.
• Allow agencies to establish agencywide BPAs to spread benefits across your agency.
• Allow agencies to establish multi-agency BPAs if you identify which agencies will participate and estimate the requirements when you establish the multi-agency BPA.
